This is a cold wallet, right? You still need an exchange to move from cash to crypto, trade crypto, and go crypto to cash, right?
I'm interested in the open source cold wallet concept

@BrentSullivan yup, the Trezor is a 'hardware' wallet, but that's a bit misleading because it doesn't contain any crypto or currency. Think of it as a hardware "key" for you crypto.

You can transfer currency via the Trezor desktop app - but will need an exchange if you want to "buy" crypto using FIAT money. But, you can receive crypto directly with just this.

There are a lot of moving parts and while it's not complicated you definitely need to be informed of what you are doing.

@bfgreen @BrentSullivan That's a great case for the Trezor! I have 2 Ledgers. 1 stays home and the other goes with me when I travel. Love that case man.

@bfgreen @BrentSullivan LOL, my wife just showed me what her sister gave her! Damn, that is creepy!

@bfgreen @BrentSullivan You think! Strange since she just gave it to her yesterday.

@sghamel @BrentSullivan I have a Ledger Nano X and it has a little mint tin all of its own!

@bfgreen @BrentSullivan I keep one blank in my travel pack and one in the house. One at the house is loaded and travel one is to restore if I need it while traveling.

@bfgreen
Thanks!
I bought some Bitcoin on Coinbase 5 years or so ago to learn about crypto. I seem to have failed because while I can trade crypto and buy illicit goods😆, I never figured out how to get cash out.
I've considered dabbling around again, thus my interest.
