@BlueStateBabe oh gosh seriously! I remember thriving in the heat in my early 20s! sigh. I can get back to that. I just gotta stop drinking. easy solution, but it's hard to remember how to go about without it. Gosh, it is baffling, and yet so infuriatingly simple at the same time. Like tonight. too hot to do anything, HOURS TO KILL. I could grab a drink and compute until it's time for bed. sigh. executing its cessation is an intricacy in and of itself.
@BlueStateBabe 102°F. Not so bad, as I remember Upland being [120°D when I was 11!] but I'm an old man with added fats! It is currently 85 at a quarter til nine. :(

In further news: I got a brand new ride!
36v, but I bought this specifically because it has SUSPENSION and 14 in wheels, which means I can replace the drive wheel with MY drive wheel.
That is to say, a 350 watt hub motor with a 5,000 watt hub motor. right underneath the seat is a good spot for the new 72v battery, and the controller can go wherever.
This thing will hopefully be my new work commuter as it will save me 160 a month on gas, more or less.
I functionally liquidated assets to gain $700+, hooray.
I am currently bound to work to make 120 more, and it is too damn hot to work :( the customer is super chill and patient though, but ugh, I'm reluctant because disassembling this scooter and reassembling it is so excruciatingly exacting and requiring a very specific order of handling parts in a very specific way.
but I need to do it :(
WHO would have THOUGHT that completing projects, completing THINGS PERIOD, boosts your confidence??

so much news, probably good! I sold my first-ever made scoot/ebike battery! along with an old motor purchase. also sold a battery rebuild to a coworker!
And also just sold my here-to-there scooter.
I pretty much sold these to get a brand new scooter with full suspension that I can put a 5kv motor on; a sleeper that can smoke a surron that the popo would never suspect unless they see me in the act >.>
also: as part of my previous account that no longer exists: I built a battery! I was told it was tested but I do not trust the source, and I have yet to convert a bike of mine for proper testing.
i bought additional BMSes for scooter batteries because I could not find the ones I initially bought.
As they came in, I came to the scooters that I needed to make batteries for, and WELL WTF DO WE HAVE HERE?
BMSes are cheap, but the fact that it held me up bothers me so much. I suppose I can safe the cash and return the others, but I feel like if I can turn a buck reselling razor scoots with Li-ion batteries, then it might be worthwhile.
