My family and I climbed the stairs for the Koko Head hike. My children—8 and 4–both climbed up the stairway to heaven on their own without aid. I also helped a fellow hiker who was experiencing heat cramps. My family stayed with him together until he was air-lifted off the trail. We learned after that he recovered well with no complications. #Compassion and helping others is what we teach our kids.
Speaking of HIM, Ville Valo and Natalia Avelon did an amazing cover of Summer Wine for the German movie Das wilde Leben
UPDATE: Turns out it was a #Unix SME; a Solaris / SunOS expert with basic understanding of #RHEL—which is my area of (limited) expertise. It was cordial and he asked pertinent scenario questions as well as some good ice breakers. He said he didn't know what my biggest challenge would be, indicating my learning curve might not be as steep as they or I imagine. My gut tells me we are most likely a good fit and there is room to grow. If it doesn't go any further, no harm done as nothing changes.
Thank you for the advice.
Thank you! I'm very curious about this. It will be in a relaxed setting (Starbucks) and the recruiter stated that the hiring manager assessed my technical expertise around 5 or 6 out of 10. If anything, perhaps I can gain a good mentor.
Thank you! I've only four years of experience. Every little bit of knowledge can only help. Being here in paradise is also a plus!
Thank you. I'm currently in a good spot and I have no immediate desire to attain a new position. Since they reached out to me, I suspect finding Linux people is no easy task and I'm curious what they want to offer.
Good morning from Honolulu! Today I will be interviewed for a Linux admin position by the senior Linux admin. Thing is, they found me; I wasn't actively searching for a new position. The initial interview was good, but they are afraid that I might not be a fit nor know enough for what they are looking for but admire that I am passionate about learning. The plus side? I will learn what I need to focus on for my career progression even if they decide not to give me an offer. #Linux #career
I did that once many moons ago, but wasn't successful. Forgot something on the way to work, came back to the apt, parked and left it neutral and thought I pulled the e-brake. Came back out and my car had rolled back to the end of the lot and the rear wheels bounced over the curb just before the hill and the frame was resting on the curb. The tow guy didn't charge me. 😂

(Re)introduction:
Hi! I am an Information Systems Security Officer gone #Linux systems administrator. I'm plugging along with training here and there; but I'm still on the fence if #pentesting is for me. I enjoy linguistics, calligraphy, music, and movies. Many things are over my head, but I'm eager to learn.
@th3j35t3r That made my day! Thank you!
@peterquirk Thanks! I'll take a gander.
@peterquirk I love etymonline! I wish there were equivalent sites for other languages.
