All those shelves will be lost in time.

I'm interested in the question of how or if there's a viable application for vertical farming.

The Netherlands lead the world in greenhouse farming of several high margin foods. Don't see any vertical farms there afaict.

Growing low margin leafy greens in that application? Why? Extend the growing season? To reduce chemicals? To have better genetic control?

Need a deep hole to reduce HVAC demand, beaucoup solar/wind... The sun and sheet plastic work better.

@Jezibaba I love most about that someone had the time (and skills) to work days/weeks/years on functional art. And presumably still had the means to eat. I think someday we'll value human creativity again as much or instead of efficiency.
