THANKS for the new userguide. Great stuff!

3 questions/comments:
1) On mobile (great!), best way to navigate back to countersocial from the guide? Used the back button a lot.

2) Translation feature mentioned in there? Searched, browsed for it and missed it.

3) Clarification: Is the modifier "abusive" understood to describe each list item in "countries, TOR nodes, VPNs, and proxies." ?

VPN does work, wouldn't want to discourage anyone from using good ones.

TIA

@ecksmc I tried firefox focus too, and regular firefox. Kind of leaned away from mozilla on mobile after the big UI change. I can try them again.

@ecksmc been using this about a year and it blocks a lot. I haven't noticed it, which is part of the goal. 10/10 recommended.

@Render the subtext is it already ate the dog. It's looking for another dog.

@ceorl Not getting a Peter and the Wolf nor Fran and Ollie vibe.

Problem is I was never a kid, didn't see their shows.

@process @PureHavok Management that talks like that is objectively incompetent. He tried that at Tesla too, didn't learn a thing.

@kenc313 uh say what?

I've been living by your words all this time. And eating all the food suggestions.

I don't know what to do now. I don't know who I am.

@kenc313 the screen and grill are cool but please tell me it's Internet connected. The world has been waiting so long for a toaster connected to the internet.

Generally love the idea of this sponge infrastructure for urban storm water control, have seen it done well. The examples in the article are a bit wild.

Didn't remove the fly ash from coal ash ponds?! Maybe it will kill the mosquitoes they don't mention controlling.

Definitely like the concept. Channelizing water is dumb long term and catastrophically fails in the face of, e.g. hurricanes.

While ago (a few covid-months I think) folks here were discussing the user of handles versus real names. Re-found this article about it, with evidence:

The Real Name Fallacy

Not only would removing anonymity fail to consistently improve online community behavior – forcing real names in online communities could also increase discrimination and worsen harassment.

@PruitIgoe Could be. Could be a hand me down uniform. It's conspicuous and I think it would be helpful if the AP could explain it.
That said, I know Kherson is still officially off-limits to press during stabilization so they're doing well to get any information.

I think the photo caption ought to explain the American flag patch.
