Hi.
Here because of the Twitter thing.

binocular astronomy from Mum’s yard in …
Was unable to observe comet but did some nice naked eye observing of Crux/southern cross, pointers etc (simulated image from SkySafari Pro)

Autumn here- heading towards the cooler, rainy months. Will be much cooler on Wednesday. But tomorrow is supposed to be 25C and I am so happy about that.

About to fly the long bit.
See ya in the other hemisphere

Just started reading Judith Butler’s latest ; I love their words; I have leaned into them in my studies, but to find a new book by a philosopher one adores is a gift. While I am in Canada, timely read for US folks (chapter on Tr*mp).

Witnessed an Indigenous led prescribed grassland burn at High Park in yesterday. I think between Monday and yesterday my brain was trying to conflate the two events but also sometimes it is hard to put things into words, but there can be a serendipity of sorts.

Scorch the Earth
Rejuvinate the land, the mind, reinvigorate the soul
The universe moves together.

Success seeing the on Monday from Port Burwell, ON, on Lake Erie shores.
I’ve written about it since then and suffice it to say my cranial cpu borked as it did in 2017. An amazing experience; would recommend πŸ’―. 10/10.

I got out scissors and started hacking away at my hair until he DID notice. Big waste of $. And obviously poor impulse control on my part.

Just tell your partner their hair looks nice ffs.

i finished all my university classes this week. Undergrad done.
Yay me.
Did taxes.
Yay me.
Worked a whole bunch of hours.
Yay me.
Went to get hair cut to celebrate.
And to a dyke bar I’d been meaning to visit.
Both of these β€œrewards” were a waste of time.
Queer bar was full of men and Americans from Chicago.
Hair cut I thought was ok but partner couldn’t even tell.
So.

It was so good; art, poetry, music. I sat in the back with the other awkward wallflowers.

Lucky to have such supportive friends and community resources on my sexual-fluidity journey
No idea what I am but going to this tonight;
The Glad Day bookstore is the world’s oldest queer bookstore.

I am middle aged and not a baby anything. But as a baby bi or baby gay or baby whatever the fuck I am sexually wise, the sting of rejection never feels less hurtful.
Two people I really like who are just not physically into me and want to be friends.
So while I appreciate the honesty, I also have to get used to the fact that in WLW relationships there are more emotions.
Also, not taking it personally is hard (trying not to wonder what is wrong with me that no one wants me)
