Scotland's biggest offshore wind farm has begun generating power.
Seagreen, which is located about 27km off the Angus coast in the North Sea, has been in development for more than a decade. When fully operational, it will have 114 turbines and generate 1.1 gigawatts (GW) of electricity - enough to power about one million homes.
#Scotland now produces more than enough renewable energy to power itself twice.
So why are we paying the highest bills in Europe?
@Former5SportOfficial Corsair....was that Boyington's ride?
@LaMarghe Awesome. Good STEM coverage and the comments are mostly worth reading.
@kenc313 to show up on CoSo, send the smaller, 128px image (I don't know what dimensions emoji are, think this is adequate) file to Management for consideration and inclusion.
@Anouk Just imagine never having to mop again!
Patient is in recovery.
Scrollwheel click works but not at 100%. Plastic flakes in the button? Button worn out? Space monkeys?
I'm in the market for another mouse.

@LaMarghe
Sure, can't hurt other than inconvenience.
OR subscribe to Ars Technica and they'll send you a YubiKey
@cmskiera to be fair I look younger outside than I do inside.
Feel better about the patient's chances. The scrollwheel contains the seeds of its own demise. The axle material has flaked off a bit into the button, presumably obstructing the electrical connection inside. Compressed air may help. Can somewhat see it here. White on left is plastic axle, resting on blue button. Magnification is ~20x
Isn't this interesting?
can't really recommend looking inside keyboards and mice via microscope
@Former5SportOfficial I would add Tesla to that list.
But look upthread, am operating on a Corsair Katar _mouse_
@cmskiera eh, I _remember_ TV, just gave up on it years ago.
(Telephone came along during my grandparents' time. Grandpa laid transcontinental railroad tracks.)
Can't change Gnome* but I did find a repair guide for the mouse on ifixit because they are the best.

@cmskiera what is a *squints* TV?
@Autumn *eye twitch*

* password is comprehensively lame
* residence of a former "President"
*eye twitch**eye twitch*
ideal for precision work
