@redenigma The Joy of Cooking, 1975 edition.
1 cup butter to 2/3 cup sugar. Literally called "Rich Roll Cookies."
@redenigma They are so buttery, it's almost a spritz cookie flavor without the glaze.
Personally I like them a little thin, a little brown and crispy, and with just the thinnest possible layer of hard-set glaze.
And then to dunk them in a nice dark cocoa.
@aspecurian Sometime yesterday you mentioned a painters palette for icing and decorations. Have you tried a small lazy susan beside the tray you’re working on? ( yes, l was thinking of cookies during the night)
@KarenSohne What I need is a Batman style utility belt.
My sprinkle collection outgrew the toolbox!
A sprinkle bandolier, maybe, with some holsters for piping bags, a butter knife dispenser, and a convenient spot for toothpicks.
@aspecurian l probably need a Batman utility belt too! Not sure why, but seems a good idea!
@KarenSohne There is no living person who would not benefit from such a thing.
The goddamn Pope could use it to keep his vampire hunting gear in.
@aspecurian Did you find the bat, or run out and get one?
@tippitiwichet Family member dropped one off.
@aspecurian do you have a good roll out cookie recipe you recommend? we dislike excessively sweet cookies here
