@Kit you know what we call that up here? May.
Sen. Franken saying there is 'no small irony' in the fact that he is resigning due to allegations, while POTUS sits in office and Moore retains GOP support, both with multiple accusations
Al Franken: resigned
"All women deserve to be heard and taken seriously"
"Some of the allegations are simply not true some I remember very differently"
"Important part of the conversation is about how men have abused their power to hurt women"
[The irony is not lost] "that I am leaving while the man who bragged on tape sits in the oval office"
"I may be resigning my seat but I am not giving up my voice"
What CoSo is: A solid place to have a rational discussion that isn't skewed by trolls or sock-puppet dipshits trying to create division.
What CoSo isn't: A haven for any one political ideology. There are all kinds here, and that's how we like it.
If you can't handle opinions that don't gel with your own, then change your post settings to FOLLOWERS ONLY and mute those you don't agree with. Echo chambers are boring, but if that's your schtick, then go for it.
RT @[email protected]: Donald Trump made it into Timeโs Person of the Year issue after all: As one of the accused.

@Still_tweet Its aimed in large part at his base, certainly. But I think he's also actually hoping to provoke a violent response. Nothing would help increase his support beyond his base than anti-American violence in Muslim countries or, likely his holy grail, a large terrorist attack in US.
@emaz @panspartner @Engineonfire I don't think it's as simple as a distraction. He *wants* a major terror attack. It's the one thing that might get a majority of the country to rally behind him. He wants the 9-11 that got Bush Sr's approval rating to soar.
How #effed up is it when a #pedophile is endorsed by the #GOP? Wasn't that long ago when the #Dems were being smeared by #fakenews stories about #pizzaparlor pedophilia rings. Now it's a #Repub campaign event. #WTF
Could there possibly be anything to this? That would be pretty f*#%d up.
@mayday If the gay couple were also pedophiles, then I guess they could have a cake?
Kaz Weida
Iโm still stumbling on the mental and moral gymnastics required to refuse to bake a cake for a gay couple because you canโt endorse homosexuality but voting for a pedophile because the GOP is the only party that supports your values.
@Pingpong Jared's most interested in somewhere without an extradition treaty, I'd imagine.
@tmbrown327 Then, the Dean. Now, Putin.

"Donald Trump Jr. asked Russian lawyer for info on Clinton Foundation"
"Don Jr. asked Natalia Veselnitskaya at the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting whether she had evidence of illegal donations to the Clinton Foundation, Veselnitskaya told the Senate Judiciary Cmte in answers to written questions obtained exclusively by NBC News."
@badger33 The specific case (Schenck) that Oliver Wendell Holmes wrote that for was indeed superseded. But the principle that speech inciting lawless action is not protected has persisted. It's just refined. I believe that's why the Patriot Act can cause someone to be prosecuted for simply advocating for a terrorist organization--because the speech presumably acts in aid of inciting actions that are illegal. But the phrase is recognized by almost everyone, so I'm going to continue to use it!
