Combo and beetle

Started this ages ago but just getting round to finishing and framing. It's one of a series so I'm sure I'll post more

My mum was a really skilled embroiderer and she is my inspiration:)

Things are destined to get a lot busier around here. It's inevitable. Some tips to keep us sane:

1. Mute or block anyone who harshes your mellow.
2. Welcome newcomers, report asshats.
3. Follow who you like. Post about what you like. That's how followings are made.
4. Turn off the Community Firehose if it ever overwhelms you.
5. There's a moment between authoring the post and posting the post. USE IT. If you post mean-spirited content, then we all look mean-spirited. See #1.

Yup. You're cool if you can read this. Revel in your awesomosity, you damned fine group of super rad people!

WOTD: biachlár (menu)
pronounced "BEE-ach-lar"
Léim an biachlár. I read the menu.

Yesterday I chatted with my neighbour. She's just had 2nd baby. We had a bit of a grumble about the building work that had started at 8 am - her husband had forgotten to let HER know before he left for work so she had to deal with the builders with screaming 2 yo and colicky infant.

So I got her some flowers and left on her doorstep. She just text to say "thanks, I'll take the flowers as an 'I'm sorry you're married to X' gift" Her spouse is lovely really but can be incredibly random... 😂

The IT folks will remember this acronym:

PICNIC

Problem In Chair, NOT In Computer.

Wish me luck... I've at least one duvet cover to change today ...

Good morning and CoSo :)

The binfire that is the other place is so huge now that even non social media engaging spouse is aware...

Happy to be here 😊

Every day the same ride, every day a different journey. Always a beauty finds me.

A low sky
Dark and forbidding
Unforgiving and unfriendly
A deep gloom
lies over the moor
And the mills clank
invisible in dank
Cold northerly air
The frightening road
an angry hiss
of careless spray
and floods and puddles
My friends, the geese
Revel in the wet
Of soaking fields
Their beautiful joy
Is my discomfort.
And my beautiful goldfinch
Lights the wall
With glitter.

My florist friend has a beautiful rescue dog called Holly who stays in the shop basement during the day, next to her radiator and tucked up in her bed as she's getting on a bit and feels the cold. She's gorgeous in every way (except for her dog breath when she licks your face. 😂)

Out for a little walk to local park. Lovely view, birds are singing, huge smell of fox and a tiny bit of drizzle just starting

everyone

I like to paint octopuses onto the bottoms of hotel room tables

The world needs more stuff like this :)

Goodnight* CoSo
