Good morning! This is one of my favorite spinning and knitting projects ever. The shawl is nearly 700 grams, and all the yarn was spun on spindle. I started the knitting with only a fraction of the yarn in hand and spun the colors that I wanted as I went along. The purple edging might be my favorite bit.

Quantum mechanics could explain why DNA can spontaneously mutate.

It had been thought that such quantum behavior could not occur inside a living cell's warm, wet and complex environment. Erwin Schrödinger had suggested in his 1944 book "What is Life?" that quantum mechanics can play a role in living systems. This latest work seems to confirm Schrödinger's theory.

What are the sounds from home that bring a sense of peace?

For me, tonight, it was the sound of rain falling softly and tree frogs chirping nearby. They are familiar heralds of summer reminding me to get shorts and t-shirts ready despite that it still feels too chilly for bare arms.

Their song ties this spring to last and all of the ones before that. That constancy brings comfort.

I hope something or someone offers a bit of that to you.
