This the problem...
If, as its been termed, Earth is simply a rest stop on the way to eternal happiness in heaven... And the general religious attitude of do anything you want and be absolved on your death bed... Why would they spend their time and effort fixing someplace they don't want to be?
Same with those believing in a Rapture... Meh.. I'm leaving... Fuq all y'all that come after....
