@Jeber Oh how FUN that was!!! Talk about a Great Perk!!!
@PR4UK Agreed!
@Jeber
Yep! I use to build my own servers.
At that time one could have a T1 or a T3 line installed at a more reasonable price than today.
Also, a friend of mine provided a server hosting service where literally all he did was plug them in.
But you are correct.
And THAT is what I'm currently looking into.
While servers are relatively easy to build - it's a matter of having a noninvasive internet connection - that is the key.
Looking for folks interested in creating an evolving version of the #SmallWeb .
THIS article discusses some of the basic premises.
However, ideally, those participating are in no way limited or restricted by 'someone else's' specific ideas of what defines the #SmallWeb .
The freedom to express individually - via one's personal website - would remain the overall goal.
Any interested please leave a comment.
Thanks!
From Rep. Katie Porter:
"I’m proud to say I’ll be in the company of 72 other members of Congress who reject corporate PAC money. The number has increased since I was first sworn in 4 years ago, when 56 of us took the pledge.
While corporations profit off of record inflation, and big corporate mergers reduce choice and raise prices, it’s more important than ever that there are elected leaders who aren’t beholden to corporate lobbyists and their checks."
Ugh. How tedious.

I really enjoy him also!
The problem lies in the definition of 'we'.
Which unfortunately does NOT include the bulk of the general public.
The majority of whom currently have their hands full trying to keep a roof over their heads.
So, being specific and naming names - each and every time - rather than using generalized terms - will help tremendously in public awareness raising efforts.
And doing THAT is needed - to create a massive enough demand for accountability - so it can no longer be ignored.
I'm encouraging everyone who can still log in to start downloading their Twitter data NOW.
Figure if thousands begin doing THAT - all at once - THAT should be helpful.😃
THIS is an EXCELLENT video explaining the United States Supreme Court case that impacts ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) and why upholding ICWA matters:
THIS provides a GREAT comprehensive explanation of ICWA (Indian Child Welfare Act) and the United States Supreme Court case that threatens it:
Accountability will only be possible when those involved are NAMED -
Rather than supporting their indulgent lifestyles -
by sucking everyday people into destitution
While those involved escape being held accountable by hiding behind generalized terms such as 'society', 'corporations', 'Billionaires' etc.
Whenever current problems are discussed.
For example: The 'Unaffordable Housing Crisis' exists due to 'housing' of all types (including mobile home parks) now being purchased across the country by corporations (to add to their portfolio of 'unsustainable profits' mode of businesses).
Specific names of individuals involved in destroying the standard of living in the U.S. need to be given.
None of this is happening 'by chance'.
Rather than 'society as a whole' I'd prefer -that whichever of America's current 735 Billionaires are involved - be named and their accountability (via tracked business practices) be specified.
Accountability for their actions will only take place when individuals involved are NAMED.
Rather than those involved supporting their
