The latest on nascent #Helene ... The forecast continues to worsen, now possibly a Category 4 for the Panhandle.
The final panel is the ten-day forecast for Merritt Island, where I live (as well as #NASA #KSC). The winds are now forecast as 29 MPH, higher than last night's 27 MPH.
The four-leaf panel model suggests this will be an event for almost all of Florida, catastrophic for some.

The Merritt Island ten-day forecast from Weather.com. They seem to be a believer in nascent #Helene. Thursday shows a 93% chance of thunderstorms with 27 MPH winds, for a storm on the opposite side of the state. But it's early.

A report released today for 2022 greenhouse gas emissions shows a drop across most sectors that is the equivalent of removing more than 2.2 million gasoline-powered cars off California’s roads for one year.
The biggest drop came from transportation, due largely to the increased use of renewable fuels in addition to the growing strength of the zero-emission vehicle market.

No particular reason other than a random distraction ... That time I caught lightning striking the faux external tank outside the #KSCVC Atlantis exhibit.
The storm was passing west-east through the park. It hit the entrance and then the rocket garden. Strike Three was the external tank.
