Yesterday a #SpaceX Falcon 9 launched and landed here for its 13th time. Tomorrow #RelativitySpace will attempt to launch from here its 3D-printed rocket using liquid methane as a fuel instead of the popular polluting RP1.
This is possible because Obama got the OldSpace/government cronyism out of the way and let commercial enterprise do what it does best. (3/x)

#SpaceCoast Today's #SpaceX launch as seen from north Merritt Island. The background noise is the neighbor's landscape crew oblivious to the launch. But eventually you'll hear the launch rumble. Most people here don't seem to care about launches. That's just sad.

#Space #NASA awards #Mars science mission to #BlueOrigin #NewGlenn rocket.
This is a "big deal" because Blue is years behind with New Glenn. Maybe it launches for the first time, later this year at Cape Canaveral. But #SpaceX has left them in the dust.
Also a "big deal" because it didn't go to SpaceX, the "Mars" company.
