The Roadster streamed live video from space until its battery ran out four hours later. Here's the video archive.

Five years ago today, launched the first flight of a Falcon Heavy, for my money the best show in the biz. The test payload was Elon Musk's Roadster.

The expects a middle-of-the-night wakeup call from . The launch is scheduled for 4:22 AM EST, although an unconfirmed report has it moved back to 4:32 AM EST. If there's a delay, they can go at 6:03 AM EST. Launch Complex 40, landing on the drone ship.

Decided to stop by Port Canaveral this morning and film for you the fleet at their dock, including the recently landed Falcon 9 sitting on the drone ship.

Fot the , we have a launch scheduled for tomorrow morning. From the SpaceX web site:

SpaceX is targeting Wednesday, January 18 at 7:10 a.m. ET (12:10 UTC) for Falcon 9’s launch of the GPS III Space Vehicle 06 mission from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. A backup launch opportunity is available on Thursday, January 19 at 7:05 a.m. ET (12:05 UTC).

Here is the "professional" video of tonight's launch/landing. It's time-indexed to T-10 seconds; if that doesn't work, go to 19:45 on the timeline. Well worth the watch, especially when the side boosters separate and start to fly back at T+3 minutes.

Here's my smartphone video of the Falcon Heavy launch/landing as seen from north Merritt Island. Stay to the end for the sonic booms.

Photos of the Falcon Heavy launch as seen from north Merritt Island FL. In the third photo, can you spot the private plane photobombing the boosters?

Here's the link for the Falcon Heavy launch livestream scheduled for 5:56 PM EST / 2:56 PM PST. The twin side boosters should land back at the Cape about eight minutes after launch.

A Falcon Heavy launch/landing is one of the best space shows on the planet!

has pushed back the Falcon Heavy launch until tomorrow. From the SpaceX Web site:

*****

SpaceX is targeting Sunday, January 15 at 5:56 p.m. ET (22:56 UTC) for Falcon Heavy’s launch of the USSF-67 mission to a geosynchronous Earth orbit from Launch Complex 39A (LC-39A) at Kennedy Space Center in Florida.

Following booster separation, Falcon Heavy’s two side boosters will land on SpaceX’s Landing Zones 1 and 2 (LZ-1 and LZ-2) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida.

The Falcon Heavy is now vertical at Pad 39A, targeting a launch at 5:55 PM EST. I'll post the YouTube livestream when available.

The Falcon Heavy has reached the pad but has yet to go vertical. Possibly due to strong winds in this area (about 20 MPH).

We're supposed to have a Falcon Heavy launch this evening at 5:52 PM EST but so far it's not on the pad, according to Twitter reports. It's a classified military payload, so maybe the USAF wants to keep it in the hangar as long as possible. πŸ€”
