#MSNBC talking about some voices in the Democratic party calling for a "mini-primary" before the convention, or at the convention.
There are no mechanisms for this.
The DNC would have to hold a vote to change the convention rules. Why would they do that? It would only introduce more chaos.
My guess is that #Biden will address the convention, release his delegates, and ask them to vote for #Harris.
I don't think the DNC leadership will tolerate any other nominees.
Among her other duties, VP #Harris has chaired the National Space Council, an advisory body which, to be honest, doesn't have much influence on #NASA or US space policy.
That said, a Harris-Kelly ticket, with a retired astronaut as VP, certainly would seem to give #Space more visibility in the campaign than it usually gets.
For what it's worth, Harris chairing the last National Space Council meeting.
Idle thought about Mark Kelly (D-AZ) as a potential VP candidate ... If he wins, he takes a Dem vote out of the Senate. Arizona has a Democratic governor, so she would appoint a Dem to fill the seat until a special election. That creates the risk that a Republican could win in the special election and flip the Senate to the GOP.
I know ... Hunter Biden for VP! That way, the Dems can say, "We're running a convicted felon too!" 🤣
I will note that, so far, the letter is *not* on the Biden-Harris campaign web site.

The "wealthy elite" Democratic donors who've been trying to push out #Biden are now conducting their own independent vetting process for a vice presidential candidate. Their search is unauthorized by the Biden-Harris campaign or the DNC.
