Today's sign that I live in Trumper Central ... Driving home today, an SUV in front of me was hauling a van stenciled on all four sides:

I mentioned a few days ago that someone has set up a campaign memorabilia roadside tent around the corner from our housing tract. I drove by again today; it's still there. I've yet to see a single customer.

It's in the driveway of an old small house. My guess is this is another one of those rubes who thinks he's going to get rich off Trump. He probably has Truth Social stock too. πŸ™„

Breaking from : Senate Democrats vote to kill second impeachment charge against Homeland Security Security Mayorkas, so the "impeachment" trial is over.

Senate Republicans keep making motions to adjourn today's Mayorkas impeachment trial, knowing it's a farce, but the Democrats keep voting them down 49-51. The Dems are going to dismiss these charges for the fraud they are.

Breaking from : Senate Democrats vote to kill first article of impeachment against Homeland Security Secretary Mayorkas, ruling it's unconstitutional. The vote was along party lines, 51-49.

Bill may have been a philanderer, but to our knowledge he never had to pay women to have sex with him like did. That's pathetic.

Someone has set up one of those roadside memorabilia tents on the highway just outside my housing tract, north of us about a half-mile. So far, they don't seem to have any customers. I wonder how many people buy this crapola, not realizing it's a roadside con game. I wonder if Trump gets a taste of these sales or just licenses his name to these con operations.

Personal observation about today's events in New York ... I've been reading the updates on the web site. For all the hype, most of this is all very routine. The only blip is the request to fine Trump for violating the gag order, since gag orders aren't needed for most trials.

Jury selection is going to take a while, maybe 1-2 weeks. The media may hyperventilate to keep the ratings up, but it's all quite normal. And a bit boring.

In retrospect, perhaps the most significant event that day was the visit to at Launch Complex 40. Obama was given a tour by a clearly nervous Elon Musk. Obama committed to reform that would end the government monopoly and open space to competition.

This raw video of the tour was released last year by the Obama Library.

Fourteen years ago today, on April 15, 2010, President spoke at the Operations and Checkout Building to detail his plans to reform NASA.

(His proposals were largely rejected by Congress, whose members wanted pork, not reform.)
