Interesting cameo later in the show by Alexander Butterfield... We learned that, after Butterfield appeared on the show last year, Hutchison's people called Lawrence to get Butterfield's contact info. Butterfield and Hutchison have been talking since then.

I can't comment on the veracity of what she said, but I certainly remember what it's like to work for a populist politician who turns out to be evil and you have to make the call on if you're going to do the right thing or give up your integrity to maintain proximity to power.

#Politics When Republicans shut down the government in 2018, the courts were able to continue using fees and other revenues not controlled by Congress. They can also continue under the terms of the Anti-Deficiency Act.
So defunding the federal government to stop Trump's prosecutions won't work.

According to this article, federal courts can continue to operate at least two weeks if the #MAGA Republicans shut down the federal government in an attempt to defund Trump's prosecutions.
I think a government shutdown is inevitable, and now we know why. #Trump has directed the #MAGA Republicans to defund the government because he thinks it will somehow stop his federal prosecutions.
Spoiler alert ... It doesn't work that way. Besides, the Fulton County GA prosecution is state and unaffected, stable genius.
