@DavidSalo Traditions are weird things ,my mom used to cut the ends off the ham every time and it was because that's how her mom had done it and hers before her.. We laughed our assess off when I told her my sociology teachers mom had done the same and they asked her mom why and it turned out that ovens were much,much smaller back in "the day" !!
