Why wasn’t Half Life 2 ever made into a TV show?
It’s so jam packed with cool ideas and visuals that it’d give ANY apocalyptic show a run for their money

@Vonzales That's probably your answer right there. Too expensive and it already existed as a video game. Making it into a movie, a non-interactive medium, would be a step down and would have been more expensive to produce.

Andy Gilliand on YouTube makes movies from the cutscenes in video games. I'm not sure if if he ever did anything in the Half Life series though.

@Vonzales 🤷 Sometimes things get made because people have an agenda to push, not because it is demonstrably better than something else that the time and resources could have been spent on. Or maybe I should say most of the time.
