#GabbyGiffords!! Wow, how has it been 12 years since the shooting? I mean, yeah, it does weem a long time ago, but THAT LONG?
@TubunMuzuru I have always just pushed the cork in then strained the wine -- or, drink it straight from the bottle and spit out the tidbits of cork!
@tblu
Interesting! Wisconsin does not get the amount of snow that the NE gets but...
We have to have our driveway plowed. Our "plow guy" makes his decisions based on the weather reports. If snow is over a certain amt - he plows.
He plows twice during storms or very deep snow.
Another problem here is that the news/weather reports exaggerate the road conditions describing the roads as impassable then they are clear -- all winter, every winter.

We must depersonalize decisions in the face of disasters by making them automatic. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/weather-forecast-snow-floods-remains-bad-plan-rcna63758 #politics
@Embers Good thinking!
@duglop I get it. My intentions are tiny:
Talk less
Listen more
Spend far less time on social media!
@Susandoyle That is so much better than the alternative! ;-) Good luck with that.
@Rupiefied2020 To live one's best life is a great adventure!
@Ellomumsy Thank you so much! It has been truly terrifying. We are so happy to see her doing so well.
@VivianCreekmore so wonderful that she’s on the other side of that. ❤️ I have a story. My neighbor had a premie. Same thing, on oxygen at home for quite awhile. Later in life, she was a freshman on my daughter’s track team when my daughter was a senior. She wasn’t the fastest, but she was running. After her first race I said to her mom, look at Mary! What a long way she’s come from that rough beginning of her life. And her mom replied, only you and I know what a miracle this truly is.
@WillMcAteer You are most welcome! Happy New Year~
Every major finance institution, including banks and investors are predicting a "soft landing" for the economy. This is FAR better than even a slight recession. Inflation is slowing, wages are up, unemployment is still excellent. Jobs, good paying jobs are still easy to find. Trade relations are coming back in line and mfg is picking up, cutting into supply disruptions. Ukraine is winning, and we've had balanced governance for 2 years.
Happy New Years. Don't waste this, make 2023 even better!!
@Ellomumsy Very similar to yours: Our daughter had a premie in 2021. In NICU 7 weeks. on O2 7 months at home.
NOW? The light of my life.
I asked a question of my hubby while out to earlier dinner (we are not going to ring in the new year, it’s bedtime). “What was the best part of 2022?” Then I asked my kids (including spouses). It’s been fun hearing, reading the answers. Mine was getting to babysit my newest granddaughter on Wednesdays. Now I’m asking you, to anyone who wants to answer.
What was the best part of 2022 for you?
Following the advice of @kel ...
What went right for you this year?
What were the best experiences?
Give us some details!
@NancySmith @kel
Wow. I had a pretty tame year!
I am making great progress in talking less - I'm an over-talker.
Our premie granddaughter was able to get off home O2.
I am achieving my holiday dreams of getting together with friends before Christmas and on Jan6.
