@bmacmixer

I think two of them do. I really can't imagine why anyone, even back then, would think the photo was a good idea. Maybe it was just a guy's swimming club & they had no clue it would ever be shown anywhere else?

@stueytheround @VictoriaLandis1 I'm being silly. I don't really care what people are shaped like. It would be nice if anyone could wear a swimsuit and not have to worry about someone being mean about it.
: )

@AskTheDevil Yes it would.
I'm a keen street/documantary photographer (I need new kit!) and on my deviantart page I posted a shot of a couple on a beach. Both very overweight but without a care in the world. I thought it beautiful and called it "positive self-image" in reference to my perception of *their own* body positivity.
Some of the comments were horrid.

Much 🖤

Sometimes, I'm being silly and catty, but I want to reinforce that _is_ a joke, and it's _not_ okay to shame people for having bodies.

I've had lots of them. They, like the cherry blossoms are all perfect.

@VictoriaLandis1 not commenting about their bodies at all, just that the swimsuits they’re wearing are totally unflattering and butt ugly…the style of the suits & the pattern of the fabric. Yikes! (The pic from 1919)

@AverageCitizen

Yeah, the 'style' of the early bathing trunks was truly awful.

Women back then had bathing costumes made of wool!
