I'm excited to share that I officially accepted a promotion at work today. I'm so thrilled, but I don't want to spread the news to people I work with until the official announcement goes out, so I'm sharing it here instead. Hope others here are having some big wins in their lives too!

@amarand I suppose it's possible it might not be true. I didn't witness the call, but I don't have any reason to doubt my friend (who I've known for years). Plus, it seems very much in character with Mr. Musk's hypocrisy.

@MisterE Yesss! But at least that's more annoying than disrespectful to the players. Maybe the equivalent at a hockey match would be members of the audience casually shooting a puck back and forth beside the rink.

I will never understand why people buy concert tickets then talk through the performance. In addition to being rude, it's also a waste of time and money to miss the show they paid for. 😑

I have a good friend who was banned from the bird app as a condition of Elon's purchase several months ago. Yesterday he gets a call from an unrecognized number in San Francisco. The call went something like this...

"We're willing to reinstate your account with once condition- you agree not to post disparaging tweets about Mr. Musk."

"Yeah that's not something I'm willing to agree to. No thanks."

(It's astounding to me that anyone believes the things this man says anymore.) #musk

@nevikjames No I haven't thankfully. That would be rough. I would like to think that if someone did that to me I would distance myself from them. I'm tough enough on myself.

@awnaves The funny thing is that there's no one who's been unsupportive. I work from home and don't really get out with friends- so honestly there's not really anyone other than my family who would notice the change. I could tell internet friends who I don't see in person, and they don't even really have a point of reference to understand how that 40 pounds changed my body. I guess that's kinda my point. This is all in my head. My own unreasonable doubts are diminishing my achievement.

@nevikjames Mostly better. Life has been difficult- personally and professionally. I really think that without the benefits of feeling healthier I would have let it all bury me. I'm prone to depression and anxiety, but I think the exercise in particular has staved the worst of it off. The other stuff is trending up though so I'm excited about the future.

I still have work to do and don't get me wrong, I feel good about where I'm at and where I'm headed, but there's clearly some other work I need to do to get my head in the right space.
