Things I think about on my lunch break, #135634
Why doesn't a glass of ice water, filled to the brim, overflow as the ice melts? (And yes, I mostly know, because physics -- but it's fun to think about in the practical application)
Or.
If you have a sphere of chipped ice and water, floating in microgravity, (like inside a space station),
And there is no noticeable air movement. As the ice melts, does the sphere get bigger, or smaller ?
I think if you were to use frozen alcohol cubes the level would go down as they melted.
@Old_Dave I also posited that if the liquid were alcohol, the test would fail because I would drink it. E.g., margarita on the rocks 😂

If the ancient Greeks had used Arabic numbers and not been so irrational about irrationals, we'd probably have either obliterated ourselves or colonized Titan by now.
