@MrsBentoBako From about 15 years ago (before Big Brother was quite as big): Buddy took his high-end Nissan in for work. He was a bit of a gear head and whatever was broken was beyond even his skills. Going to a dealer was a very last resort. Anyway.... While waiting he was of course looking around the showroom. A sales guy chatted him up. After finding out what kid of car he was currently driving the sales guy told him he would give him X dollars for his current car sight-unseen....
@AllisonKaye See that Nebraska-shaped weak spot? Yeah, that. It's been joked that #TmobileHatesNE but it's more about legacy wireless contracts than a concerted effort to ignore the state.
@AllisonKaye my 2 high-schoolers just switched from Boost Mobile to Mint. They were looking for more data at a similar cost. The backend is T-Mobile. Works great in the home town area. Unfortunately, we were a couple hundred miles from there this weekend in a relatively small town. Coverage was pretty weak. Other than that, they are both happy with the switch. I don't have any direct history with Visible.
@0x56 Not wrong.
@jcscher I feel this is what it must look like from the inside of my refrigerator when I go rummaging around for that late night snack. π

@Museek This isn't my favorite version of this song, but I love the banjo in the video so much it stays on the good list. :)
The Indigo Girls - Get Out the Map - 1/2/2014 - Paste Magazine Offices (Official)
I may or may not have had wine in my coffee cup for this last conference call. And I may or may not have blown on it to "cool it off" while on camera.

@Museek Yay! Love them. Thank you for sharing. Get Out the Map is one of my favorite songs ever! Their harmonies are amazing.
@PaigeK I kid you not.... I remember when my friend couldn't come out to play until he and his sister raked their bedroom floors. With a special shag carpet rake. It was so bizarre to me.
Got my official back-to-the-office notification. July 12. Have to go through some training (?) and upload a copy of my vaccine card. Currently on a webinar from our HR lead. Nothing surprising. It's a gradual return based on a person's level in the org, and I happen to be in the July 12 group. Could be interesting.
@Minholkin @Klaatu_Veratta_Nectarine @dz My lovely bride is really into real estate podcasts. A dude named BeardyBrandon (Brandon Turner) is a favorite of hers. Very easy to listen to even for a novice like me.
Personally I'm more of a comedy person. My go-to right now is Lewis Black's Rant Cast.
@jcscher Had a surprise storm this morning but not enough rain to do much good. That has already moved on. Yesterday set a record high of 105F. Beat the old record by 5 degrees! Today will a comparatively comfortable 95. π
