Do you folks remember the video I shared a few weeks ago, about a farming project in war?

Thamra was cofounded by Yousef Abu Rabee (& Leena) to feed everyday people caught in this nightmare.

Yousef was killed in recent IDF action in Northern Gaza. A reporter working on an agriculture piece shared word today, and Yousef's instagram is filled with grief messages.

Every day the world is left smaller for losses such as these.

The tails of Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS were a sight to behold. Pictured, C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan–ATLAS) was captured near peak impressiveness last week over the Eastern Sierra Mountains in California, USA. The comet not only showed a bright tail, but a distinct anti-tail pointing in nearly the opposite direction. The globular star cluster M5 can be seen on the right, far in the distance.

Finnish children attend Kremlin-sponsored summer camp in Russian-occupied Crimea

The camp took place in July and August and included children from countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, France and Sweden.

According to the camp, more than 1,000 children from 67 countries visited during the summer. The Artek children's camp has become an important symbol of the "return of Crimea" in Russian propaganda.

Anybody have recommendations for a free computer app that can change negatives to actual pictures?

While I borrowed a negative scanner, the ancient negatives I've come across in my family history digitization project are too large to fit.

I have an idea of how to scan with backlight (may or may not work), but then, I no longer have a photography program that instantly flips negatives like I did back in the day.

Looking forward to your recommendations.
