I once had an Irish friend who experienced abuse at the hands of priests. He told his mum - his dad had died before this - and she beat him for being a liar because she couldn’t imagine the priests doing these things.

People know. It’s just that the alternative has successfully been marketed as unacceptable to them, so they maintain the status quo.

IMHO, this is the best documentary-style film I’ve ever seen.

I’ve seen it many times in the course of writing a university paper on it, and now it’s on TV and I can’t look away.
