Thieves are stealing SNAP funds electronically. In most states, victims never get reimbursed.
@TheNewsOwl Really wish I believed in hell because those thieves deserve it. Thatโs just despicable. And yes, governments should do more to reimburse. But also, howโs about Chips in those cards?

This really is inexcusable. Skimmers are a widespread problem, but easily defeated by contactless payment methods.
Federal funds are involved, and the federal government should require states to mandate at least the same level of protection as is standard with bank credit and debit cards.
