@TheNewsOwl I would say moreso - heโ€™s smarter, more cunning, and more sadistic/pathological.

@TheNewsOwl One thing, he's not as popular outside Fl. Hope he gets in trouble for ๐Ÿคฌ

@TheNewsOwl at least as much - he's younger, more attractive (it's a low bar), maybe slightly smarter, and Floridians actually love him for some weird reason.

@TheNewsOwl

He is.

Fortunately, he won't get elected outside of Florida. The only reason he had such a good showing was bc he personally wrote the redistricting maps, violating the voter enacted Fair Districts Amendment in the process. His map changed the demographics from R16/D12 to R20/D8. There's just too much to summarize:

@TheNewsOwl Sadly - family in FL affirms this - Florida is full of cult members that love him.

@yobaba @TheNewsOwl

When I mention my hatred of Ron to my father, who lives in Florida, he said it was none of my business bc I don't live there.

If you knew my father, this would make you fall off your chair. My father never spoke to me like that before frump. As a little girl, my father was my hero. That little girl is crushed by what her hero has become - unrecognizable.

@JoyfullyDazed @yobaba @TheNewsOwl Iโ€™m so sorry. My Daddy will be gone 15 years in April. He was/is my hero and was a hero to many. My mother is toxic and abusive. I only mention that because people say โ€œbut their your familyโ€ฆโ€ฆ..โ€ as if that somehow makes it necessary for you to put up with toxic behavior. My wise therapist said no. No is a complete sentence. You must choose to heal the relationship. Grieve the relationship. Set boundaries. Whatever is best for you. โค๏ธ

@OfficiallyPatty @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba 100% Patty, I have disconnected from my family because they are very toxic and negative for me. On top of just being all magas and conservatives which I am not. I haven't spoken to them or engaged with them for years. my mother always made me out to somehow be the bad one no matter what I did. She is a control freak.

@TheNewsOwl @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba Same. Control freak, narcissist, emotional manipulator and always the victim. My Dad raised me (they were married) and it took me years to build proper boundaries. Good therapy and distance has been so helpful. This time of year I hear โ€œBut they are familyโ€ฆ..โ€ so much more. No. Not if it costs you your mental health. Sometimes the family you create of friends, etc is much healthier that blood relatives.

@OfficiallyPatty โค๏ธ I do not blame people who say such because I do understand they tend to have better relationships with their family so they do not understand how someone could be so toxic but yeah I do get that phrase a good bit as well. or I will get the whole phrase," but don't you want to make things right before they pass away etc.?" or something similar. It can be very annoying to be honest because mental health comes first & sentimental reasoning is silly. @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba

@OfficiallyPatty @TheNewsOwl @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba Growing up, we never spoke of politics much, but rather my parents taught us to accept people as they are and how they act, not what they looked like or who they loved. The 50s and 60s were a different time but Iโ€™m so grateful that we ( 5 kids) all never knew the heartache of a disapproving family. Itโ€™s heartbreaking to hear how so many had different experiences. ๐ŸŒน

@j0n @OfficiallyPatty @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba As patty talked about her mother. my mom was controlling and a narc. to point even when I was an adult and on my own and away from her she tried to stalk me literally and went to my adult friends home even to try and stalk me to ask questions. She even does stuff and tried to get my own daughter fired.

@TheNewsOwl @j0n @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba there are no words for that except โ€œIโ€™m sorryโ€ and I understand. Clearly dealing with mental health issues of their own but in my case, would never admit.

@OfficiallyPatty @j0n @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba Yep same here and then also she goes back to the rest of the family and plays victim or tells them how awful i am and then I become the bad man of the family. The outkast of the family. I really do not have the energy to sit and explain either to every single person untruths that she is telling them so I simply disconnected all together from that.

@TheNewsOwl @OfficiallyPatty @JoyfullyDazed @yobaba Iโ€™m so sorry you have to deal with thatโ€ฆ I mean we had our โ€œmomentsโ€ and I saw some of that with friendโ€™s families butโ€ฆ ๐Ÿ’”

@TheNewsOwl

A bigger threat imo. Ron knows politics, frump didn't/doesn't. Ron is already a dictator in one state. Ron is frump on steroids.

I don't want frump in the WH, and I definitely don't want Ron there either.

@JoyfullyDazed @TheNewsOwl

I consider Ron as TFG version 2.0 More dangerous and armed with a roadmap of the mistakes made by the former guy.

@kbresist @TheNewsOwl

Exactly. Ron won't need aides to explain things to him, shorten daily briefs or avoid complicated issues. Ron understands politics, which is dangerous bc Ron, clearly, loves the power it affords him. We're screwed if he wins.
