This time of year, we see a lot of Dry Scalp (NOT Dandruff). The weather's changing, the heaters go on. Lips, hands, skin, hair and scalp ALL need more moisture this time of year.
The last thing you want to do is dry your scalp and hair out more with Dandruff hair and scalp care products creating an even dryer problem!
Highly recommend partnering with a dermatologist if you believe you have a Dandruff problem, but your hairstylist should be able to help with Dry Scalp.
@Jeber It's a common misconception that shaved heads don't need scalp care separate from typical body care.
Scalps should still be treated as scalps despite lack of hair due to the oil production that happens there regardless of hair.
If anything, there's less hair to move the oils away from the scalp, so it may need even more scalp care.

I understand. I'm just saying it's harder for me to tell if it's dry or oily scalp.
@Jeber It really helps to partner with a professional if there's anything abnormal going on 🥰
@TheHairlockSupreme So I don't wash my curly hair very often to keep it from drying out but I condition frequently and get buildup from that. What am I doing wrong?
@ianthealy
There's a lot to cover with curls, and products targeted at those with curls. But I'd like to start with this:

The "over-shampooing dries out your hair" is a myth. Shampooing cleanses. Conditioners condition.
This problem is only made more complicated by lack of water soluble products, especially those targeted at the curly demographic. Meaning, without shampoo, they do not break down.
The simple answer, is actually to shampoo more frequently.
@TheHairlockSupreme I will give that a whirl and let you know. Thank you!

It’s really frustrating when you shave your head.
