@Museek I fell on black ice and landed directly on my kneecap a couple of years ago so I know how much that hurts! I thought because I could walk but couldn't bend it, I had just bruise the bursa behind my kneecap so limped around straight-legged for 2 wks. When things didn't improve, I finally went for an x-ray and learned that I had fractured my kneecap and fibula!
Spent 16 weeks in an immobilizer, but fully recovered. If you think you need an x-ray, go for it!

I totally agree with your assessment of the situation and our shared desire for this awesome platform to be more widely acknowledged and experienced by those who are willing to recognize that social media can actually be a space for civil discourse and exchange of ideas.

@th3j35t3r Okay, J. But you've been a head of the curve anticipating what is lacking and negative with all this social media stuff. One of the biggest dangers you recognized is mis/disinformation. Adding Fact layer, deep fake detection, all those things that help keep factual truth alive. Things that matter to journalists too – provided they know that's what differentiates this platform. If you really don't care, okay. God knows you're more than a tryer. Like you said, their loss.

@th3j35t3r If you are interested in attracting journalists to this platform and the readers who follow them, what can be offered to "Counter" that fuckery? I have noticed that many are very concerned about imposters stealing their identity and reputation now that the verification system has been rendered essentially meaningless now on Twitter. Maybe some kind of official "Press Badge" icon for those that can prove legacy verification, Professional Courtesy Pro Package if they post weekly...dunno

@Ironworker229 Lately, I've starting whittling as a way of relaxing, focusing and grounding. I sit in the yard, listen to birds, smile at my dog exploring and then I let the chip fly. Both deeply immersive and right brain mindless. You have to stay vigilant about where your blade is moving, but it's surprising how quickly the brain learns to throw up red flags automatically. The wood's aroma, the tightness and/or direction of the grain, flipping/turning to make a cut –the end result matters not.

A Sanctuary away from all the standard rage posts, single-eyed tunnel vision users. A reminder that I like music in my life adn was missing it. People aren't afraid to discuss esoteric areas of personal interest or thought. I feel connected in a way that I never experienced on other sites.
