Just throwing out there that when I was 13 after my dad had died when I was 11 and my grandmother who was my primary caregiver had a nearly instant dementia when I was 12 I went trick or treating and got turned away at every house and went home and cried.
All y'all giving candy to teens are doing great things.

I've been on Twitter since the beginning, and I've watched it turn into a cesspool of hate, propaganda, abuse, and bigotry. They can save it, but their failed leadership refuses to act. Hot take incoming:
I feel our society would be an immensely more pleasant place if every single person (if physically / mentally able, of course) was required before age 25 to spend six months working in retail, six months working in customer service, and a full year working in food service.
Not just to gain empathy for the folks working in those fields, but also to gain a fundamental understanding of how those businesses operate and what are and are not reasonable expectations as a consumer.
