@Stonekettle Remember every poll you see reflects the opinions of the 5% most gullible among us, who will answer a call from an unknown number, who enjoy talking to pollsters and sales cold callers, who believe scammers are the IRS demanding gift cards and Nigerian princes dispensing royal largesse.

A majority of these people seem to like Trump.

I really want to see progressive candidates lean hard into hope.

Also: I actually responded to a poll on the phone last week. They wanted to know my gender, zip code, and name. That's going to eliminate a lot of people already. (After eliminating all the people who don't pick up unknown numbers.)

And then the damn poll took nearly 20 minutes. That eliminates most people who have something better to do.

Polls are self-selecting.

@Stonekettle ITA the poll numbers in general are meaningless. People lie, there are many who refuse to poll and small daily irritations might dominate their opinion on a meaningless poll but they think about it more deeply before voting.

Personally I'd like to outlaw all this political shit until 6 months before the election.
