This year I both cared about the Superbowl more than I ever have, and less than I ever have.

Republicans are so scared of Taylor Swift you start understanding why they're on their knees for Putin so easily.

Also I think it's very obvious Biden and the Democrats have multiple backup plans if Biden decides not to run or can't. But odds are against Biden being replaced.

But Republicans are stuck with Trump.

(I do give it a 1 in 4 chance NEITHER of them are on the ballot in November).

I'm noticing more of the "Michelle Obama will replace Biden" conspiracy theories out there. Which tells me a few things:

1) R's using sexism again
2) R's using racism again.
3) R's using the insane conspiracy theories Michele is trans.
4) They know Trump is an awful candidate only propped up by the media.
5) Biden beat them last time when everyone doubted him.
6) If there is a replacement for Biden, they'll also clean their clock.
7) Distraction.

Finally got around to seeing The Marvels. Honestly, going in with no expectations and tired of Marvel, I was pleasantly surprised. Witty, great acting, hilarious mid-movie joke on the parent company, and of course Kamala's family.

Villain was weak and had missed opportunities, but I think it's hard to make a villain really interesting with the strong central cast.

I'd put it definitely above average for Marvel films. Felt more like a TV show in a good way - intimate despite the scope.

A weird thing I realized about the right's obsession with acting as if Biden is old and feeble-minded - and the bullshit they spread.

They all KNOW it's bullshit, everyone knows this is politics. Which is why, bizarrely, you'll see this repeated and then forgotten until next time.

Besides, when you have Trump out here beclowning himself every day, it becomes harder by contrast.

But the fact we're so busy knowningly lying to each other is sad.
