The absolutely weird part of the Springfield issue is how it both highlights Trump's debate disaster AND how deluded and extreme he and his crew are. It doesn't distract, it amplifies.

The press is even vaguely getting it in some cases, though you can see them straining for some kind of "both sides" and surprisingly failing more than I expected.

And it's not done yet. Once you have the grifters and extremists circling they try to milk it for all they can.
