During jury selection for Elijah McClain’s death, Aurora PD sent an undercover officer 20+ miles outside of her jurisdiction to spy on potential jurors. The dept claims she was sent “to see if anyone was potentially planning to attack the APD headquarters” (20 miles away).
During her time in the courthouse she claims to have overheard a potential juror use the phrase “Odio la policia”.
I hate the police.
The potential juror was dismissed.

Did you experience the cold front earlier this week? The Texas Pandhandle sure did.
Before the front arrived the fires were heading east. In about an hour, the cold front changes their direction and pushes the fire line 50 miles to the south.
Fifty miles in an hour.
It is currently the second largest wildfire in the recorded history of Texas. Half the size of Rhode Island and still growing.
It's mid winter.
What a family!
"A magistrate in western CO ruled that the oldest son of U.S. Rep. Lauren Boebert could be released from jail a day after the 18-year-old was arrested in connection with a recent string of vehicle break-ins and property thefts.
"A 25-page arrest affidavit released says police were able to link the teen to the crimes because he was recorded by a surveillance camera wearing a “Shooters Grill” sweatshirt while allegedly using a stolen debit card."

"Mississippi’s Republican attorney general sued the Republican state auditor Thursday, trying to block the auditor's effort to recover misspent welfare money from retired NFL quarterback Brett Favre — money that was supposed to help some of the poorest people in the U.S.
"Attorney General Lynn Fitch's lawsuit says that filing litigation to recover improperly spent money is the responsibility of the attorney general’s office, not the auditor’s.
Sinking ship hit by Houthi missile leaves 18-mile oil slick in Red Sea
"Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said Thursday that the Rubymar was “taking on water as we speak.”
“It’s creating an environmental hazard with the leakage of all the fuel that it’s carrying,” Singh said. “On top of that, it was carrying, to my understanding, fertilizer. So the Houthis are creating an environmental hazard right in their own backyard.”

The hilarious thing about people being upset that POTUS suggesting people accept immigrants into their homes as domestic workers is that their kneejerk reaction of "tHaT's SLaVERy!" puts a spotlight on their apparent inability to conceive of working in exchange for anything but money.
Don't get me wrong, the admin absolutely needs to push for imm. & housing reforms to meet this imm. surge.
But there's still dignity in one doing domestic work in exchange for a warm, safe bed & reliable meals.
Joseph Robinette Biden's namesake benefited from a presidential pardon from Abraham Lincoln for the crime of attempted murder.
A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production.
Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
