@LnzyHou an old friend of mine from high school sent me a bit of starter during the first few months of the pandemic. She lives in Brooklyn and made all sorts of unsubstantiated claims about the starter thriving in the tapwater. After trying many different ways of keeping it fed with no discard, it is still going strong 4 years later
@LnzyHou it is easy if you are willing to laugh at your mistakes become patient and follow the recipe. I had to learn that by lots of failure, slumped and/or dense and barely edible loaves.

Observations driving back roads from NJ to PA for 25 miles yesterday.
Trump supporters seem compelled to place multiple signs, banners & flags in their yards. Almost carnival-like.
#HarrisWalz2024 supporters place one sign, two at the most depending on size of the property. No carnival.
Non-professional opinion: trump supporters are nut bags. Harris supporters are not.

one of the MANY benefits of menopause....
i can go to the store, and walk through the extensive Halloween candy aisle (even loiter there!) and NOT smell the chocolate through the sealed wrappers.
there used to be a week of each month where i could hear the siren call (aroma) of even sealed chocolate, even inside a hidden container.
hormones be THAT powerful, baby.
the siren call has been muted, at last.

Do voters want as president a big mouth who tanked the tough immigration bill and now -- with the facts no longer in his favor -- has resorted to clown talk about migrants eating pets? Or do they want the vice president whose administration went far in getting the job done and who promises even more controls if elected?
