Smokers, of which I am one, will do something that is now called Packing cigarettes because with a pack that's a box you do the whole thing instead of one at a time, which back in the day was called Tamping.
It requires a forceful bang or tap that shifts the tobacco to the end that will be smoked.
Anyway I have to pack in a 1234 1234 12345 beat or I am very distressed.
