This is why I've been staying away from social media.
I posted about how a masculine voice conveys authority more than a deep, feminine voice, and I get people cheering my kid on for not going to bed.

Nice.

Well done, y'all.

I went in at 11, as I do, to take 13's devices away.
And he, again, started to come unglued.
So tonight I just stood and stared, and I beckoned for his shit.
Silent.
I took his devices. He yelled GOOD NIGHT, as I left the room.
I said, Good night.
Neurotypical people really don't need to be here.

@Shelter

If you don't mind me asking, I'm curious about a few things.

Is 13 angry to have to stop for the night or is it that you're touching his devices?

I admit to not fully understanding autism as I don't know anyone in real life who is autistic.

@see_the_sus
He, specifically, doesn't want to stop.
He's fine with me touching his stuff.
But although he can tell time, and he's been told 11, he has a meltdown.

@Shelter

aaahhh, so it sort of sounds to me like the typical behaviour of a teenager?

@see_the_sus
Not unless a teenager bites himself and throws himself against his wall while screaming loud enough to be heard two counties over.

A tantrum and an autistic meltdown are not equal.
