For Open Book blog hop today, we're talking about point of view and perspective. Mostly, I write in 3rd person close, but my Menopausal Superheroes novels change perspective chapter by chapter. What do you do in your writing? Or prefer in your reading? samanthadunawaybryant.blogspot

I spent the loveliest afternoon with writing friends. Often, I only get to see my writing friends at events, and we're both working (networking, selling, etc.) while we're there, so we don't get to just talk freely. Where do you get your social time with writers in your life?

Here's a for you. I'm not really sure what I'm doing in this picture, but I'm probably 14 or 15 years old and so very cool in my Nike shirt and side ponytail.

Boy Howdy, but I'm tired today. I did a convention last weekend, and I'm doing my "connect week" at the day job this week (which mean going into the office and socializing face to face). How can this only be Wednesday? How do you keep yourself going when you have no choice but to keep people-ing when you're already at your limit?

We've been curious what our little guys are "made of" ever since we adopted them. Looks like Pumpkin is made of everything little and cute. But as suspected, he doesn't share the chihuahua part of that shows so clearly in his brother.

Hurray! I made it! All set up and ready for fun at Retcon in Cary, NC. Doesn’t my name look cool in that font? Learn more: ret-con.org

Oooh boy, guys. I just wrote a things that's going to get a reaction. (deep breath) I hope I'm ready for it.

Recording a panel on Cowboy Bebop tonight for an online convention, so this is my internal soundtrack right now. Any other fans in CoSo-verse? youtube.com/watch?v=UFFa0QoHWv

I took my youngest on a college visit yesterday. It was great! And the school is a really good fit for the youngest Bryant. But also, how the heck are they old enough to be looking at colleges, and what does that mean about how old we are? Yikes!

How do you tell when your creative projects are "done"? Here's wishing for a toothpick test for my writing life! medium.com/@mirymom1/is-it-don

I'm working on a photo album documenting our trip to Ireland from last summer, a long-delayed gift for my mother. I can *still* remember how terrified I felt, dipping backwards out of the tower at Blarney Castle to kiss the stone!

Hurray for ! We've bought plane tickets and booked our AirBnB--I'll be headed to Old San Juan in a few weeks. Anyone been there and have suggestions for me? This is my first trip to Puerto Rico.

I took myself to the movies last night. I’m a pretty good date. I even sprung for popcorn. It was a older film, It All Came True! 1940 with Humphrey Bogart and Ann Sheridan. I’m a fan of films from the 1940s. Makes me wonder if I was born in the wrong year. Do you watch classic films? What are some of your favorites?

Ran across this old picture of my Dad today and it makes me so happy. Clearly, he has *always* been up to something. Makes me think I need to get better about organizing and sharing all my photographs so that someday my kids can be charmed to realize that I used to be young, too.

If you're good at that, what do you use? I've got paper and digital photographs I'll be trying to organize and share.

Are you a podcast person? I'm a fan myself. And I was thrilled to be invited as a guest on "Parents Who Write" to talk about my journey of parenting and writing side by side. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/
