It covers all the ways the gains of the Civil War were eroded, particularly under Southern leadership. (Andrew Johnson, Woodrow Wilson). The Lost Cause Myth came to be accepted revised history. Eagerness to get southern states back in the fold turned a blind eye to Jim Crow laws.

@FlaviadeLuce I posted back when Roe vs. Wade was overturned that I wish I could find all the Twitter conservatives, including Never Trump conservatives, who chided us for predicting it to be overturned.
We KNEW justices were lying in confirmation hearings saying they accepted Roe as "settled law."

@LindaWisner @TheresaVermont Not being "into politics" is an indicator of privilege in itself. Or abject ignorance.
There was a time and particular subjects where it might be appropriate to not be into politics, details that only a few select understood. This wasn't that time.
