So Elon's plan to remove the block function from twitter apparently violates the terms of service of both the Google and Apple app stores, which require social media apps to have such a feature.
Odds are high that Elon's tweeted ("Xed"?) announcement won't be followed through.
@RationalLeft all the more reason to stay off BlueSky
@LnzyHou Definitely.
@RationalLeft Ew He praised it? Ewww not getting on Bluesky now.
@RationalLeft: Of course Jack's praising what Musk does. For starters, the Jack that sold Twitter to Elon isn't the Jack that started Twitter, as per a number of people who knew him along the way since it started. Next, Jack & Co. unloaded Twitter onto Musk when they were lucky enough for Musk to run his mouth enough for his shit to be actionable. Then there's also his likely joy at watching That Asshole look bad after making Jack rich as Croesus.
@RationalLeft This is my shocked face. I guess getting deplatformed from Google Play and the App Store got through even to his narcissistic brain.
He’s an idiot.
@LnzyHou @RationalLeft
You're too kind
@RationalLeft a stable genius he.
He must really enjoy making people think he's a complete lunkhead, he does it so often.
@RationalLeft Well now, evidence destroyed! Nobody will know!
@whonat Would that he would.
@RationalLeft I think Google and Apple should make an exception and hasten the demise of the birdshitshow.
@hallmarc They've failed to stand up to Elon so far on moderation policies, so they just might.
But former twitter owner Jack Dorsey rushed out to praise Elon's idiotic move. He seems to be as fascistic as Elon. He just had the business sense not to let things get so totally out of hand.
