And the judge assigned to the case is a Black woman and the only DC federal judge to hand out J6 sentences longer than the prosecutors requested. ๐๐
This is going to be...hmm, fun isn't quite the word.
Satisfying. That's it. #politics
A rather serious point that I would like to make about that last:
Social media *everywhere but here* is 100% committed to making you believe that MAGA is HALF of America. It's a deliberate business strategy on their part, and it's incredibly misleading.
He won his Presidency with 26.1% of eligible voters, and that was the absolute peak of his popularity.
It's abysmal now.
@Frreezzy_Writer That is my favorite part of it. She's irrelevant here and can stay home and fight off the goons Trump sent her way.
@mfa I had to cut it off too. Very annoying. I just got home and getting much more information here.
Just saw a graphic that said that the max time for all 4 of the charges together was 55 years.
Mwha. #politics
@TrueBloodNet I know that local news is vastly closer to the real story than national news outlets can be. Locals aren't about to put up with errors and lies from their local papers.
Our problem: For ONE story in a blue moon, there is no sense to demanding a full subscription.
@QueenPhillippa That's one way it could work. Or, it could be open access to all the participating services OR 2 stories per day per participating service or 15 stories total per subscription. I have no opinion on what's better at this point.
My envisioned goal is to increase access to and reading of unslanted news. And get unslanted sources more income than they are currently getting.
@QueenPhillippa oh, no doubt, and Iโm sure economic warfare takes place via the clandestine services. The pinch is really on in Brazil, India, and South Africa
@QueenPhillippa The mentality that "business" is more efficient than government at doing things is the same as "trickle down" economics...they are both voodoo science. Privatization of government functions look and appear great in the short term, but are detrimental in the long term for the simple reason that private companies balance costs/benefits to increase revenue so shortcuts compromise many things and security suffers.
@QueenPhillippa This is from this weekโs Economist. Turkey is a big player in the โhelpโ, too.
