So, the other day my kid got jumped - tooted about it.
Turns out, it's a little worse... while getting beat one of the other kids pulled my kid's pants down and shot photos/video of their naked ass.
My kid found out upon returning to school yesterday where the photos/video were being circulated throughout school, during school hours, via text message.
Spoke to school, was assured it would be handled. Never had a situation like this before, what's a reasonable expectation for school action?
@JGNWYRK Short answer is yes.
There are police officers attached to each school in the district - they call them school resource officers, but they are no different than any other cop in town - just assigned to the school.
When I spoke with the school yesterday they said the matter would be referred to the SRO and they would coordinate a response and appropriate way forward.
@PrivacyL0st @JGNWYRK
I would go to the police station.
If the SRO was gonna do something, they would have already. That is a clear case of sexual assault on a minor, among other things! The SRO should have been involved from the first report.
Like I said, go to the station. The SRO is failing if those kids aren't already expelled and brought up on charges! None of that is ok.
