I can’t disagree with this opinion strongly enough. The professor makes the assumption that when a state invariably replaces electors w/partisans who lost their state’s popular vote, that the SCOTUS will rule that maneuver unconstitutional.
If they follow through & side w/the Independent Legislature defendants, they’re declaring they will affirm whatever GOP state legislatures’ electors have been sent.

Yeah, I feel like they are missing a couple of points... one that he argues that it's nothing to worry about because states can't appoint electors after the election...
But we know that they'd just choose electors BEFORE the election who will be willing to vote in a manner that differs from the popular vote.
