I’m sorry real Christians but the cult ones are making you look real bad!

@Pippy Don't we know it! It's bloody exasperating to say the least. Here we are just trying to love God and love our neighbour but often feeling like we need to hide our faith to feel safe nowadays.

@stueytheround not to mention for these cult Christians power before belief attracts all the bullies making it hard to stand up but we all must.

@Pippy Judge me according to my words and actions or not at all. Good point though. I don't know who those people are. I don't consider myself a Christian, don't like what most of them stand for, however, I have an awesome PERSONAL relationship with the LORD.

@nursefrombirth growing up I was told watch what a person does not what they say! And I’ve sniffed out a lot of liars in my life.

@Pippy We know. We're used to it, sadly. Evangelicals for Harris are helping to turn the tide on the political side. Individual pastors and believers who speak out are helping to turn the tide on the religious side. It's a slow process but Trump isn't going to get the religious vote like he did in 2016. He should get 0% but some are still deluded and others lie and say they are religious when they are not.

@danielbsmith yea it is sad and when they are hit with facts they double down. I can engage civilly but if they can not I must walk away!

@AnnetteTRemain as it hits many hard there are so many levels of destruction.

@Pippy I left my church over politicking for the "white mans" president when we had a mixed congregation. The way I see it my religion didn't fail me. People did. Tale as old as time. And yet each generation tries to make things better. That's what we need to keep our focus on.

@AnnetteTRemain I’m sorry to hear that you were failed by those who were selling their dream disguised as ancient teachings. But you are right even religion can become better with efforts to understand.

@Pippy When I was atheist I was disappointed in people. When Christian I was disappointed in people. I asked myself if I followed what was popular or whether I followed the religion for the religion. I decided that I would view my spirituality as my own and others follow the path they are on. Which could change back and forth. Which is why I still consider myself to be a Christian but I view main tenet to be care about others and "do good".

@Pippy I thought I could stay and try to change minds but the pastor and elders influence people and staying sends message this is tolerable. Or I could influence a different way by leaving so some could see not everyone supports them. I feel our pastor, who I liked, failed our community.

@Pippy I'm not one of the dream Christians. I believe in trying to do good regardless of the outcome. I am not focused on Heaven and Hell.
