Public Opinion: Will you be celebrating July 4th this year in light of all that has happened in the last few years? If not, would you share what you will be doing to help those around you for the holiday or what you will be doing instead?
@Maude Totally understandable. My own youngin' is likely going to want to celebrate the American past rather than the current state of things.

I never celebrate.
I’ve always despised the way it’s celebrated, not the day itself.
@Anouk That makes sense, I'm not a big fan of fireworks or beer myself, the south sort of grated my tolerance of that years ago.

@PaganMother I will do what I have done most years, close the windows, doors, and pull the curtains in an effort to tone down the noise. I will be spending the evening with my cats to take the edge off of firework sounds they fear and don't understand.
@PaganMother my wife and I will probably take the dogs for a hike, then just hang out and make a nice dinner.

Not for me.. it's for my 6yo grandson.
He has no perception of what is going on and I'm not going to let him down.
