I met someone about two years ago that swept me up in a whirl wind of emotions and I'm trying to recoup breaking things off with him. He used to talk to me fairly regularly, as often as two to three times a week but lately it's been maybe one a month for the past four months now. He claims he's not ignoring me but I find that really hard to believe at this point in time./1

We broke up briefly back in October and I was miserable during that break, until we got to talk on new years and agreed to give things a more honest shot. Well skip forward to the days ago, I caught him conversing online but not with me, not even a simple hello. Imagine how I felt. I have him on no understand terms two days to make a decision on whether he wants me in his life or not../2

I told him that I felt emotional neglected and ignored, that I wanted to be able to talk to him more often but he's not even giving me the bare minimum. A friend of mine said that he believes it may be intentional, and I'm a gem of a person to have around, that my former partner is a damned fool to neglect me as he has. But I'm not sure if it is intentional./3

My former partner is in a failing marriage, dead bed, for those that might want to know why. His wife is icy to him, he's tried so many times and so many ways to bring romance back to their relationship to no avail. So he threw himself into his work in hopes to escape his perceived failings. I know a lot about him, and for a long time felt lived and crushed by him but he's been so absent. It hurts, letting him go, but I need to do this./end

So many typos in this but yeah... he's poly pan as am I but his wife is firmly not. I supported him exploring his sexuality more and giving him a safe space to just talk about what he was going thru and what advice I could give. I considered him for that period of time between her and I something like a boyfriend but I never got around to saying it to him because I wanted to wait and see if he leaves her or not.
