I told him that I felt emotional neglected and ignored, that I wanted to be able to talk to him more often but he's not even giving me the bare minimum. A friend of mine said that he believes it may be intentional, and I'm a gem of a person to have around, that my former partner is a damned fool to neglect me as he has. My former partner is in a failing marriage, dead bed, for those that might want to know why. His wife is icy to him, he's tried so many times and so many ways to bring romance back to their relationship to no avail. So he threw himself into his work in hopes to escape his perceived failings. I know a lot about him, and for a long time felt lived and crushed by him but he's been so absent. It hurts, letting him go, but I need to do this./end

So many typos in this but yeah... he's poly pan as am I but his wife is firmly not. I supported him exploring his sexuality more and giving him a safe space to just talk about what he was going thru and what advice I could give. I considered him for that period of time between her and I something like a boyfriend but I never got around to saying it to him because I wanted to wait and see if he leaves her or not.

In some small way I hope he did revive his marriage but in a way I kind of don't. Maybe it's me being a bit jealous but I feel like he deserves better in his life.

For now all I can do is nurse my broken heart and wish him well. If he really loved me... He wouldn't have made me feel like a child's broken toy with his he neglected me all those months.

@PaganMother 🖤 I feel this. I recently let a poly partner of 17yrs. go. He doesn't get to treat me shitty anymore and neither does his other partner. We both deserve better. Sending you comfort.

@mistressticia thank you. Yeah he just let his work consume his life and I couldn't deal with feeling ignored by him anymore.
